How I Got Inspired

When I was a teenager, my father made flower planters like a Faris wheel with 8 boxes and light house's stuff like that! I took interest in helping him make some of his stuff. My girlfriend at the time admired my father work and her dad said to me one day "you should get into the steam engine show flea market" and so I took him up on that.

My Dad had me manage hauling his products to the flea market and setting it up and making the sales, I enjoyed doing that and now he goes to other flea market to this day!

I took wood classes in high school, I made a few of those garbage can cabinets for my relatives.

I enjoyed turning a board into a product and the best part is when I finished it and to think wow made that!

Giving that product to the person that wanted it was another thrill for me when they would say how nice it was!

As I got older I took interest in selling my dad's stuff online, of course it was expensive for a website 15 years ago and the market places didnt exist like they do today. I did fail to make it work then but I was bound and determined to one day make it work.

When I found etsy I made an account on their for my dad and put his products on their. We sold a few items but for some reason we didn't stick to etsy and I don't remember why.

As I got older bought a house and the cabinets where dated and so I talked to my dad about building my own cabinets from scratch with oak wood and so we did with that said I didn't have much for wood working tools and that was when I started buying them so I didn't have to barrow his tools.

With that all said and done I had a local car salesman message me on Facebook asking me if I could make him a set of cornhole boards with the saints logo and his last name, he also wanted the wood burn look.

I said yes I will do that as this was first time making a set of cornhole boards and doing any kind of wood burning, and I told him that and I like to be challenged.

I found that I enjoyed wood burning and started making more custom cornhole boards and score boards as well for people I knew and the locals.

I continued on making more wood products and created a store on Facebook market when they started it.

I still have alot to learn on my journey with selling online but I have learned alot and will continue to do so.
